Our Dogs
This is the web page dedicated to our dogs- both past and present.  Our dogs serve as companions, and guards for our home and our other animals.

Queenie Josie
This is our most recent addition, Queenie.  She is a rottweiler that we got from the Everett animal shelter after her owner was deployed to Iraq.  We got her after someone cut the brake lines on our truck sitting in our driveway.  She is meant to be intimidating to strangers and I think she succeeds. This is our Rhodesian Ridgeback- Labrador Retriever mix named Josie.  We got her from Tom's brother after an unintended breeding with the neighbor's dog.  The promise was that Josie mother would be spayed if we took her in.  Josie is a friendly energetic dog that plays with all the other dogs and seems to keep them young.  She is also a beautiful dog with very soft fur.
Rocky
Vanessa
This is our beagle Rocky that we acquired from the Noah animal shelter.  Rocky is an excellent companion- particularly to Tom and he likes to howl at what he perceives to be intrusions.
This is Vanessa, oru Cheasapeake Bay Retreiver that we acquired from the Skagit animal shelter.  She was somewhat of a replacement for my long time companion Mica. She is our best behaved dog who is quite friendly and active.
Mopar
Magi
This is Mopar.  We got her as a puppy from the SPOT animal shelter.  She was billed as a border collie, beagle, Lab, shepherd and Rottweiler mix.  She is not a very smart dog but she is nice and looks like a guard dog (although doesn't act like one).
This is Magi.  She is a yellow lab I acquired from the Skagit animal shelter as a companion for Mica.  She was a very well behaved, lovable dog.  She seemed depressed when I got her but gradually became happier.  She had a long life with me that I hope she enjoyed.  I miss her terribly.
Shilo
Mica
This is Shilo- he is a beagle we acquired from the Skagit animal shelter.  He was a friendly, wonderful beagle that unfortunately found a hope in our fence and was hit on our road.  This broke our hearts and we miss him still.
This is Mica- my first dog as an adult.  I got her from a pet shop in Portland, Oregon.  She was a golden retriever mix.  She developed glaucoma and eventually lost her eye sight.  She also had hip dysplasia and despite multiple operations developed bad arthritis.  She still lived a long and hopefully enjoyable life with me.  We had quite a few trips and adventures together and she is very deeply missed.
