Our Cats
These are the cats of Schoonover Farm.  These are our companions and rodent controllers.
Chloe Missy
This is our most recently acquired cat- Chloe.  She is a six toed calico cat we acquired from Tom's brother on the condition that her mother would be spayed.  She is a funny cat- prone to running laps around the house and batting small objects under furniture.  She is quite entertaining. This is Missy- one of the cats we acquired when my grandfather died.  She has chosen to live in the barn and coexists there with all the other critters.  She seems to like it in there- keeping the rodents under control and hanging out in the hay mound.  She gets plenty of petting every day when the animal chores are done and gets her own private cat food.

We also acquired her brother  but he has chosen to live in the woods out back.  We periodically see him running through the trees and grass.  He seems to be doing well with his wild existence.  It probably beats the city streets that grandpa saved him from.
Smish
Joey
This is Smish, an acquisition from Tom's daughter who couldn't keep him when she moved.  We also acquired a rabbit in the same manner.  He is a funny cat- not very sociable with the other cats and likes to be outside.
Doogie
This is Joey.  He was a Tom cat on the mean streets of Mount Vernon when a co-worker convinced me to take him in.  He had an abscess from fighting that I cleared up and then had him fixed.  He is a very friendly, easy going cat that likes his food.  He's also a decent hunter.  He went missing in November 2007.  I miss him terribly.
Max
This is Doogie (AKA Duke).  He was a red striped kitten that Tom got before I met him.  He is a friendly although somewhat grumpy cat who likes ice cream and lunch meat (when he can rarely get it).  He's the only cat that can tolerate Chloe and he likes to hold the furniture down.
This is Max.  He is an old mountain cat that we got from Tom's ex when she couldn't keep him in her new apartment.  He is a tough cat that still can win fights and kill mice.  He likes to hang out on the roof of the barn- sunning him self.
